Chicago White Sox/ U.S. Cellular Field

Like several other ballparks, by 2005 the White Sox will have expanded and improved its field.  For over 80 years the White Sox have played in Comiskey Park, but in 2003 U.S Cellular bought the naming rights for $68 million to rename the park to U.S. Cellular until 2023.  Another $167 million was put towards improving the park.  Such enhancements include, a 15,000 square
foot softball and baseball skills instruction area above the left field concourse,  85 luxury suites
located on two levels, as well as thousands of club seats on a mezzanine between the lower deck and upper deck.  There is a new multi-tiered batter's eye in center field, a vertical screen behind home plate, improvements to the main concourse, and upgrading the club level.  In order to give the fans more protection from the weather, a flat roof was installed by
demolishing eight rows of the upper deck, which eliminated 6,600 seats.
