| Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field Nicknamed "The Friendly Confines," Wrigley is the second-oldest major league ballpark (1914) behind Boston's Fenway Park. Wrigley Field is located on Addison Street in Chicago, Illinois and was built in 1914. Since 1915 the Chicago Cubs have called Wrigley Field home. Celebrating over 90 years of baseball this baseball field has a lot of traditions such as the ivy planted against the outfield wall and the current scoreboard-still manually operated-was erected in 1937, and has never been struck with a batted ball. After each game, a white flag with a blue "W" flying from the center-field flag pole signifies a Cubs win, a blue flag with a white "L" a Cubs loss. |
